The Locations screen of the Product Management tab is where you assign overstock locations in the warehouse to a product.
The warehouse location of a product is set up at the warehouse product level, not at the global product level. It is not possible to set up the warehouse location of a product at the global product level.
Select the warehouse product on the Product Lookup screen of the Product Management tab if you have not already done so. (For instructions on how to do this, refer to Select a product.)
On the Product Management tab, click the Locations button. The Locations screen appears.
In the Overstock area:
In the Maximum Labels field, type the maximum number of labels to be printed for this product before the full quantity can be consolidated on one label.
For example, let's say that you type 144 in this field because 144 cartons of the product or part fit on one pallet. If you have 50 cartons, the system would print 50 individual labels. If you have 144 cartons, the system would print 1 label that would be printed in reverse. (In other words, the label would have white text on a black background.)
This number should be greater than or equal to zero and less than or equal to 999.
In the Location field, type the location in the warehouse or store for this product's overstock. It must be a valid location that had been previously set up in Supply Warehouse Location Maintenance in text-based Vision.
This location is printed on bulk labels, primary replenishments labels, emergency replenishment labels, and various reports.
the Maximum field, type the maximum quantity of the product to be maintained in the overstock location. The maximum quantity allowed in this field is 999,999,999.
Click the Add button. The overstock location is added to the Location listing.
