The Product Lookup screen on the Product Management tab is where you select a product if you need to look up information about that product or make changes to the product data stored in the system.
On the Product Management tab, click the Product Lookup button. The Product Lookup screen appears.
In the Warehouse drop-down list, select the appropriate option:
To search for the global record of a product, select Global.
— or —
To search for the warehouse record of a product, select that warehouse.
For information about the difference between global and warehouse products, refer to Working with the Product Management tab.
The Product field is a combination text box and drop-down list; this enables you to specify a product in one of two ways:
In the Product field, type one of the following:
The product number, or part of it
The product description, or part of it
—or—
In the Product drop-down list, select a recent entry. A maximum of your 10 most-recent entries are listed in the drop-down list.
To refine your search and see more targeted search results, you can conduct an advanced search by following a few additional steps:
Click the Options button.
In the Search By area, select which criterion you would like to search by.
In the Search Filters area, select one or more options from the filter lists if you would like to narrow your search.
Click the Search button or press Enter. If only one product meets your search criteria, the corresponding product information is provided on the Product Lookup screen.
If more than one product meets your search criteria, the corresponding products are identified in the Product listing at the bottom of the Product Lookup screen. To select the appropriate product, click the appropriate row in the listing.
