If an XML error occurred when the e-catalog monitor was reading the VSNORDER.XML file, the following message is displayed in a pop-up window:
An XML error occurred reading the VSNORDER.XML File. The ECatalog Monitor will shut down and will restart when Vision is restarted. Contact your System Administrator to correct the file.
This type of error is displayed if the e-catalog monitor in Vision has a problem reading or writing to the VSNORDER.XML file. The VSNORDER.XML file contains the order information that the system obtains during order entry through the e-catalog. The e-catalog monitor checks for e-catalog orders that need to be processed in Vision.
Vision attempts to conduct a read or write a maximum of three times, with a one-second interval between each attempt. After failing three times, the message above is displayed in a pop-up window, and the e-catalog monitor is shut down. This does not mean that Vision shuts down. Normally, the cause of this error is a file lock. The only other process that should be writing to this file should be the e-catalog (i.e., Internet Explorer).
Close Vision and then restart it. See if doing so eliminates the error. If it does not, reboot the PC to clear any locks that are still on the file.
