EOD Purchase Orders and Transfers

Return to EOD Purchase Orders Not Considering Branch Excess (Table).

Besides settings like reorder point (ROP), linepoint (LP), and others that control whether a product should be replenished or not, there are options that control whether a purchase order should be created at End of Day for a part class.

Drop-down list with the following values:

   Consider Only.

   Consider and Transfer.

   None.

Specifies at the part class level how any excess inventory should affect the replenishment process. Consider Only means to take the excess inventory at a branch into account when calculating the need for replenishment but don’t transfer any inventory. Consider and Transfer does the same as Consider but adds a transfer back to the warehouse of any excess inventory. None tells the sytem to not consider excess inventory at branches.

Note:   The transfer aspect of this setting is affected by the Transfer Excess EOD option.

The next table details the behavior of specific combinations of the above options.
