Putaway labels tell a warehouse stocker where to put inventory that is received from a vendor or returned from a customer. After putaway labels have been verified, run the Confirm Putaway Labels option to confirm that the products have been put away.
As part of the Confirm Putaway Labels processing, the system generates the Confirmed Putaway Labels Listing, Invalid Labels Listing, and Labels with Discrepancies Listing. These confirmation reports provide details of the verification process.
Note: If your warehouse should perform putaway confirmation scanning from receiving, the Receiving Putaway Confirmation check box on the Inventory Management screen in Warehouse maintenance must be selected for this warehouse. Similarly, if your warehouse should perform credit return verification, the Credit Return Scan Verification check box on the Inventory Management screen in Warehouse maintenance must be selected for this warehouse. The Warehouse maintenance is available from the System Configuration screen on the Vision Configuration tab.
Several prompts need to be answered to use this option:
Enter Audit Reports Print Queue
Enter Warehouse
Label Number
The success of your confirmation determines the report on which a particular label's results are printed:
If you enter a label number and its matching warehouse location, the system displays the following message:
Putaway Confirmed.
Enter <CR>:
This label is included on the Confirmed Putaway Labels Listing.
If you enter a label number that is not in the putaway labels file, the system displays the following message:
Invalid LABEL!!!
Notify Supervisor
Immediately! <CR>
This label is included on the Invalid Labels Listing.
If you enter a mismatched label number and warehouse location, the system displays a message to inform you of the label's original warehouse location. You are also prompted to decide how to handle the discrepancy:
Location should be 510104
Enter (1)Discrepancy Code, (5)Location Change:
If you select the Discrepancy Code option, you are prompted to enter the discrepancy code that identifies why a product is not where it is supposed to be.
If you select the Location Change option, label and product information is displayed (the label number, the product number, the quantity of product put away, the unit of measure, the warehouse location that you specified, and the warehouse zone). Change the location if necessary.
This label is included on the Labels with Discrepancies Listing.
Continue entering label numbers at the Label Number prompt as needed. When you are done entering all of the label numbers, enter END, and the reports are sent to the selected print queue.
