The Stock Replenishment On Demand option in Vision Back Office is used to do the following:
Create pending purchase orders (POs) for products in a warehouse that are in need of replenishment and that meet certain selection criteria (vendor, product class, product type, ABC code, and miscellaneous code). The system places the pending POs on the Replenishment Action Report. Purchasing agents analyze this report to decide which POs to edit, activate, and send to the vendor. The report is sorted by vendor, and each PO directed to a vendor is given its own PO number.
Create replenishment transfer orders to move products from the replenishment warehouse to the warehouse that needs the products.
To learn how Vision handles inventory replenishment processing (i.e., how the system determines which and how many products need to be ordered, whether to place the products on a PO or a transfer order, and more), refer to Overview of inventory replenishment.
In Vision Back Office, on the main menu, select Purchasing.
