System Configuration: Order Message

The standard order messages created and maintained here can be printed on order documents such as invoices, delivery tickets, order acknowledgments, and pick tickets. For more information on order messages, refer to Add an order message to be printed on documents for this order.

Descriptions of the fields and buttons for the Order Message maintenance are provided in the following table. The Order Message folder is a subfolder of the Miscellaneous Information folder on the System Configuration screen of the Vision Configuration tab.

To create a new standard order message, right-click the Order Message folder and select Add New Order Message.

Note: To access the Order Message maintenance, you must have the proper security privileges. The File Maintenance OE job function needs to be assigned to one of your roles. Roles are assigned to users in the User Maintenance on the Security Maintenance screen of the Vision Configuration tab. For more information, refer to About roles and job functions.

Description

Order Message ID

This is the two-digit, system-generated, numeric code that identifies the order message. This code cannot be changed.

Description

This is the brief description of the order message. This description, in addition to the Order Message ID, helps to identify the message to customer service reps who would like to include a standard order message in printed order documents such as invoices and order acknowledgments.

Order Message

This is the message that can be selected during order entry to print on order documents such as invoices and order acknowledgments.

Accept

Click this button to save any changes that you have made.

Cancel

Click this button if you do not wish to save the changes that you made, and you wish to revert to your previous information.
