Warehouse Product Updates dialog box

If you click the Warehouse Product Updates button on any of the screens on the Product Management tab, the Warehouse Product Updates dialog box appears.

Descriptions of the fields and buttons on the Warehouse Product Updates dialog box are provided in the following table.

Note: To access the Warehouse Product Updates dialog box, you must have the proper security privileges. The Product Maint (Warehouse) job function needs to be assigned to one of your roles. Roles are assigned to users in the User Maintenance on the Security Maintenance screen of the Vision Configuration tab. For more information, refer to About roles and job functions.

This is the warehouse whose selected product fields are to be updated for the selected destination warehouse(s).

Product

This is the product number.

Description

This is the product description.

Updatable Fields

Source Field

If the data in a field should be updated for the product in the selected destination warehouse(s), select the field's check box in this column.

Note: When you use the Warehouse Product Updates feature, the system remembers which check boxes you have selected in this listing. The next time you display the Warehouse Product Updates dialog box, the same check boxes are selected. You can make any changes as necessary before clicking the Update button.

Current Value

This field indicates the value for the corresponding source field.

Destination Warehouse(s)

This list includes all of the warehouses that (1) have its inventory class set to sellable inventory and (2) already have the selected product record. It also contains an All Warehouses check box; if you select this check box, all of the other warehouse check boxes are selected for you automatically. If you clear the All Warehouses check box, all of the other warehouse check boxes are cleared for you automatically.

Select the warehouse or warehouses in this list whose product records should be updated with the values selected in the Updatable Fields listing.

The inventory class of a warehouse is established in the Inventory Class drop-down list on the Main screen of the Warehouse maintenance.

Note: When you use the Warehouse Product Updates feature, the system remembers which check boxes you have selected in the Destination Warehouse(s) listing. The next time you display the Warehouse Product Updates dialog box, the same check boxes are selected. You can make any changes as necessary before clicking the Update button.

Update

Click this button to update the fields and close the Warehouse Product Updates dialog box. A progress bar is displayed on the dialog box to indicate how much time it will take to update the fields for the selected warehouse(s).

Close

Click this button if you do not want to update any fields and you would like to close the Warehouse Product Updates dialog box.
